You will be responsible for the coordination and management of auditions, whilst also leading on all My First Ballet activities.

We’re looking for someone with experience working in fast-paced environments, and the ability to effectively manage workflows and priorities in line with the needs of the company. If that sounds like you, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

This position is for a fixed-term contract, starting October 2026 until July 2027.

Your main responsibilities as Artistic Coordinator will include:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Artistic programme throughout the season and lead times/deadlines involved for publishing the schedule, casting and any changes for all relevant productions.
  • As Company Manager for the My First Ballet production, provide a consistent service across all touring dates and venues including planning, scheduling and logistics and travel with the My First Ballet company as required.
  • Coordinate auditions and recruitment including managing and monitoring audition correspondence, sharing applications with the AD as appropriate.
  • Provide a level of pastoral care to the students and My First Ballet dancers and adhere to all safeguarding policy requirements for dancers under 18 years of age.
  • Become familiar with in-house tools, systems and workflows to support processes for auditions and the My First Ballet production.
  • Respect and protect with the strictest confidentiality all Artistic matters, including documents, electronic records and casting and respecting the confidentiality of sensitive personal data.
  • As the main point of contact for English National Ballet School and Directors of other dance schools, coordinate each student’s participation in company productions.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience of providing an administrative or coordination service to support groups of artists in a busy performing arts environment.
  • Proven ability to get up to speed on priorities, workflows, lead times and dependencies for all scheduling activities.
  • Experience of working with detailed information and ability to deliver accurate communications and notifications.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver accurate and high-quality documentation, with the ability to highlight relevant information.
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and to seek solutions through consultation and collaboration.
