About the role:
You will be joining a lively and multiple award-winning dynamic fraud team who are responsible for conducting investigations into all types of fraud that effect the council, including Housing Fraud and Internal Staff Fraud.
The role will require you to successfully attain a professional fraud qualification and obtain extensive practical work experience.
You will work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with support and guidance from Senior Investigation Officers and Managers.
With supervision and support, you will be able to help to deliver a professional and flexible anti-fraud service to prevent, detect and investigate potential fraud and irregularities perpetrated against the Council whilst obtaining professional qualifications. The Council will fund and fully support you through the training for the professional qualifications.
You will have a professional outlook and presence, along with the ability to learn quickly and have enthusiasm for legal and social issues.
Waltham Forest Council operates a hybrid working model (with a minimum of 2 working days in the office), with a greater balance between home based and office working, subject to role requirements.
