Adams Street Partners (“Adams Street”) is a global private markets investment manager that has nearly $76 billion* in assets under management. The firm is 100% employee-owned, which fosters a positive and unique culture of collaboration, intellectual rigor, integrity, and a commitment to professional development. For the eighth year in a row, Adams Street was named one of Pension & Investments’ Best Places to Work in Money Management in 2025.

Employees operate as a single global team, integrating the expertise of the firm’s investment professionals across five strategies: primary investments, secondary investments, growth equity, private credit, and co-investments. Adams Street is considered a private markets pioneer and was inducted into the Private Equity Hall of Fame in 2000.

The firm was founded more than 50 years ago, and clients include leading public and corporate pension plans, foundations, endowments, insurance companies, registered investment advisors, and high net worth individuals worldwide.

Adams Street has offices in Abu Dhabi, Austin, Beijing, Boston, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Munich, Menlo Park, New York, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo and Toronto.

*As of June 30, 2026. Adams Street Partners’ methodology to calculate Assets Under Management (AUM) is based on fund net asset value (NAV), plus unfunded commitments, plus leverage, but excluding the effect of subscription lines of credit. The prior AUM methodology was based on investor commitments minus commitments to fully liquidated underlying partnerships. Such change in methodology was effective July 2026; however, for periods shown prior to December 31, 2025, Adams Street continues to use the previous methodology. This updated methodology more closely aligns with (i) the amount of assets managed on behalf of investors and (ii) the amount of capital available to make direct and/or partnership investments. Amounts stated by investment advisers in regulatory filings (“regulatory AUM”) have a prescribed methodology, which may, in some circumstances, differ from the methodology such adviser uses for other purposes, including marketing efforts. Additional information is available upon request.

The Opportunity

This is a rare chance to launch your investment career at the heart of one of the most established primary investment franchises in private markets. As an Analyst on our London Primary Investments Team, you will sit alongside experienced investors evaluating the best private equity and venture capital funds in Europe and beyond – the managers backing the companies shaping the future economy.

From day one, you will be a genuine member of the deal team: forming a view on managers, interrogating track records, and helping decide where our clients’ capital is committed. You will gain exposure across the full breadth of private markets – buyout, growth, and venture, across geographies and sectors – building the judgement and network that define a long-term career as an investor.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate investment opportunities – assess private equity and venture capital funds, forming a view on manager quality, strategy, and the durability of their edge.
  • Dig into the numbers – analyse fund and portfolio performance, track records, value creation, and attribution to understand what truly drives returns.
  • Build the investment case – contribute your analysis and conclusions directly to investment memoranda that go in front of our investment committee.
  • Develop market intelligence – build a proprietary, forward-looking view of managers, sectors, and themes across European private markets, becoming a genuine expert in your coverage areas.
  • Conduct due diligence – play a hands-on role in researching and interrogating new opportunities, working directly with GPs and the broader market.
  • Partner across the firm – collaborate with investment colleagues globally and engage with clients and managers, building the relationships that are central to this industry.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a bright, ambitious, and intellectually curious individual excited to build a career as a private markets investor. You will likely have:

  • Genuine enthusiasm for private equity and venture capital, and a desire to learn what makes great investors and great companies.
  • Sharp analytical ability and strong written communication, with confidence in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in the use of AI tools to enhance research, analysis and productivity is also expected.
  • A collaborative approach – someone who thinks creatively, and thrives as part of a team.
  • A professional presence and strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues, clients, and managers.
  • This role is London based.
