AI Learning Experience and Workshop Designer
Intelance
Intelance is looking for an experienced learning designer to create practical AI workshops for adult business audiences. You will turn discovery findings and specialist knowledge into a clear learning journey, strong exercises and materials that facilitators can deliver with confidence. Most design work is remote, with occasional travel to UK client sessions for observation or delivery support.
This is a flexible freelance associate role. Assignments are agreed through separate statements of work.
Tasks
• Define clear learning objectives from discovery interviews and business needs.
• Design full day workshop structures for mixed seniority audiences.
• Create group activities, laptop based exercises, participant instructions and reflection tasks.
• Build facilitator guides with timings, talking points, transitions and contingency options.
• Turn technical AI content into simple, practical learning without losing accuracy.
• Design pre workshop preparation, follow up materials and feedback questions.
• Work with AI and subject specialists to create realistic case studies.
• Check that activities support adult learning and can be completed within the available time.
• Test the learning journey and improve it using facilitator and participant feedback.
• Maintain clear versions and handover notes for all learning materials.
Requirements
• At least five years of experience designing corporate learning, workshops or digital adoption programmes.
• Strong knowledge of adult learning and practical learning design.
• Evidence of designing full day sessions for mixed seniority business audiences.
• Experience producing facilitator guides, participant workbooks and laptop based activities.
• Ability to simplify AI or technical content without making it misleading.
• Strong writing, editing, structure and quality checking skills.
• Experience working with consultants and subject specialists under firm deadlines.
• Familiarity with generative AI learning is strongly preferred.
• Confidence using PowerPoint and common digital learning tools.
• Availability for remote work and occasional travel to UK client sites.
• Right to work in the UK and ability to provide services as an independent contractor.
Benefits
• Flexible associate work with clear assignments and agreed deliverables.
• Mostly remote design work with planned client travel when useful.
• The chance to shape learning that helps people use AI safely and effectively.
• Work with experienced AI, consulting and facilitation specialists.
• Clear scope, delivery dates and commercial terms for each assignment.
• Potential for repeat work across Intelance learning programmes.
Please apply with your current CV and a short note describing your most relevant workshop or learning design work. Include links or examples where possible, the audiences you designed for, your experience with AI learning, UK location, availability and normal day rate excluding VAT.
The selection process will include an initial screening, a portfolio discussion, a structured interview and reference checks. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to explain the design choices behind one learning activity.
