Overall Purpose

We are seeking an exceptional Corporate Receptionist to join a busy and prestigious landmark office building. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced front-of-house professional who naturally enjoys engaging with people, delivers outstanding customer service, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and professional environment.

As the face of the building, you will play a key role in enhancing the experience of occupiers, visitors, and clients. Working alongside and reporting to the Reception Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day front-of-house operation while also supporting building events, occupier engagement initiatives, and community activities.

This role would suit a confident communicator with a proactive attitude, and a genuine passion for delivering a first-class customer experience.

Please note: Previous experience within a corporate front-of-house or hospitality environment is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the reception area and associated spaces, ensuring they are always presented to the highest standard.
  • Provide a warm, professional, and engaging welcome to all visitors, tenants, and clients.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all building enquiries, responding promptly and professionally. Hosting several times of the day is required.
  • Manage visitor sign-in procedures and maintain a seamless arrival experience.
  • Help manage and populate the Building App and promote the activations, initiatives and events.
  • Answer and direct telephone calls efficiently, taking accurate messages when required.
  • Handle challenging situations and distressed callers calmly and professionally.
  • Build strong relationships with occupiers and visitors, promoting a positive and welcoming building culture.
  • Support the development and promotion of building activities, wellbeing initiatives, and engagement programmes.
  • Assist in creating and delivering an annual events calendar, including social events, pop-ups, networking opportunities, and tenant appreciation initiatives such as Freebie Fridays.
  • Produce weekly reports and front-of-house performance data as required.
  • Ensure all reception-related documentation remains current and compliant.
  • Work closely with the Building Manager and Assistant Building Manager, providing administrative and operational support.
  • Support security, health and safety, and emergency procedures across the building.
  • Report accidents, incidents, and building concerns promptly and accurately.
  • Liaise effectively with cleaning, facilities, security, and other service partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business and client needs.
  • Support colleagues and contribute positively to the wider team environment.
  • Undertake additional duties as required to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a corporate reception, front-of-house, concierge, or hospitality role.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and manner.
  • A proactive, positive, and can-do attitude.
