Senior Trade Surveillance Business Analyst
London Wall (hybrid 2 days a week in office Tuesdays/Thursday)
6 months with the scope to extend
Pay Rate: Circa £650 per day inside IR35

About the role:
The Trade Surveillance Team works with Commercial Banking risk team to identify suspicious market activity via complex predictive modelling and subject matter expertise in relevant financial products, always working to stay ahead of the game.
Your role would involve acting as Business Analysis and Subject Matter Expert within a markets trading software engineering team, acting as the bridge between customer and our cross functional team. The function is unique in how it combines software engineering and a significant focus on data and market products to ensure we act in accordance with Market Abuse Regulations in Trade Surveillance.
The resource will be supported by other BA's. Engineers, Programme Leads and face off to Clients in both BAU Delivery, Quant Research and Price Model Validation team.
Skills & Experience:
Gather requirement and, produce technical and non-technical specifications for both New and Tune Trade Surveillance scenarios.
Supporting the Agile iterative way we develop and deliver our work.
Communicate & present regular customer updates, managing & informing key stakeholders while influencing or pushing back as required.
Acting as subject matter expert for a range of trading systems, products and data sets.
Support user acceptance testing related activities.
Work with the internal team of quant mathematicians to understand model level data requirements often using SQL and internal big data repository.
Support Engineers who are executing the requirements you have written.
Provide support to end customers around applications and data once live.
Experience working with tools like Jira & Confluence
