Are you a recent graduate looking to join a national mental health charity to progress your career? This charity really cares about their staff (Investors in People). You will work at a nice building with huge wrap around garden on a private road in Barnet. It’s a friendly project and really supportive team that supports 10 male clients with medium to high mental health support needs.
This a great opportunity for a graduate with some voluntary or paid experience of working with vulnerable clients. The end goal is to move them into their own accommodation, and you will work with them to provide a range of support to help them progress which could be to improve their living skills, access education or improve their health & diet.
Hours are 9- 5. And you will work 1- 2 weekends a month. One sleep over a week will be required (where you are just on call), where you start work at 2pm, work until 10pm, and then sleep at the project (you have your own quarters). Its an extra £78.30 per sleep in.
The charity is really looking for someone who is proactive and takes a therapeutic approach. So, this means people who want progress and develop their clients. And people who will advocate for them i.e. recently one of the team contacted a University recently to get a CBT specialist to work with a client for free, as the counsellor needed hours for their course. You will also have access to level 2 courses you can undertake and then put to use with your clients, such as counselling qualifications.
Please apply via this advert. You must have a Psychology degree and have some voluntary or paid experience working with vulnerable clients. Feel free to call the office and ask for David if you have any queries, or have applied and not heard back yet (number on the Red 5 People website).
Please note, the salary advertised includes one sleep in per week. There will be the option for additional sleep in’s if you want, and you earn £78 per sleep in
