About the role
Working closely with our senior management team, you will be responsible for identifying our ideal customer and approaching them to discuss our PR services.
Day to day duties will include:
* Conduct research on potential leads, prospects, and clients against our ideal customer profile.
* Develop collateral, proposals and case studies and collaborate with leadership to generate awareness of our offerings.
* Manage the business development process for assigned proposal development, pitches, and outbound efforts.
* Sell our offerings and services to prospects by arranging introductions, meetings, development of proposals.
* Effectively communicate with internal teams to help meet prospective clients' goals and their organisational objectives, timelines, and budgets – pulling in experts and leadership input as required.
* Help build, manage, and continually develop a sales pipeline to achieve new business targets.
* Work with senior staff to bring in new leads across targeted sectors through traditional and creative approaches to outbound sales.
* Help manage the pipeline through Salesforce & support the leadership team with ad-hoc reports as required.
Essential skills:
* Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in business development.
* Entrepreneurial, self-starter mentality – always driven to meet and exceed goals.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
* Desirable – experience working within the PR or brand marketing.
* Highly organised and thorough with exceptional attention to detail – including and especially for fast turnaround tasks.
* Ability to adapt to new situations, solve problems on the fly, and communicate with those around you.
* Comfortable working collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
* Impeccable ethical standards and professionalism, including confidentiality for client briefs and business challenges.
