Teaching Assistant Role – Near West Croydon station

Empowering Learning is currently seeking vibrant, motivated Teaching Assistants to join a Junior School based in Croydon for full time roles for this September. We have several positions for candidates with a positive attitude who love to support children with additional needs. This position would be ideal for candidates looking to progress in Education. The nearest station is West Croydon station, CR0 2TA.

Teaching Assistant – Job Responsibilities

Ensuring school rules are adhered to
Working with KS1/KS2 students with mixed abilities including SEND
Offering support and empathy to children requiring assistance
Reporting health and safety issues on-site to the maintenance team to resolve
Communicating effectively with teachers/children about any concerns or issues
Risk assessing the environment and responding accordingly
Observing behaviour, intervening and addressing when necessary, reporting any safeguarding issues through the correct channels

Experience, Training & Qualifications

Legal right to work in the UK
First Aid Training (desirable)
Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, or overseas Police clearances (if applicable)
Primary Education experience
