The Role:
Our client, a financial services company is recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team, this role will have overall responsibility (SMF2) for the Financial and Accounting function. The CFO will oversee the production and integrity of the firm’s financial information and its regulatory reporting in respect of its regulated activities.
Reporting to the Executive Director (Operations), the purpose of this role is to manage and oversee the production of regulatory reports and management information in line with set FSA guidelines and bank operational policies and procedures.
You will be responsible for the management and oversight of the annual budgeting process and the regular review of the performance of the Balance sheet, P&L, and cost centre management against the plan, providing variance reports to aid strategic and management decision-making.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
Proven experience in management accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, and the rendition of complete UK statutory accounts within the financial services sector.
Strong knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS), IT, and spreadsheet skills.
Significant management experience, leadership ability, and strong technical skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to extract meaning from figures and present analysis clearly and concisely to colleagues with varying degrees of financial knowledge.
Ability to oversee and manage financial planning and budgeting process,
Measure performance against plan and communicate detailed financial analysis to financial and non-financial audience,
Assisting business strategy decisions for product development and planning to meet forecasts and set budgets.
Education:
High-calibre Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent)
