Painter Technician – Croydon

My client are a global technology company specialising in a variety of markets including energy, transport and automotive. Due to their continued success, they’re looking for a Painter Technician who will be working in an engineering maintenance environment, accompanied with multiple products in an ever changing customer-based service environment.

The successful applicant will lead the following areas:

+ Preparation of items to be painted
+ Control of paint materials, including mixing
+ Painting and quality control of items
+ Ensuring all shop floor paperwork is completed
+ Paint booth basic preventive maintenance tasks

Professional experience & education:

+ Painting qualification, ideal but not essential
+ A good mechanical aptitude is required
+ Prior experience working in a painting background
+ Ability to read and follow Safety Data Sheets
+ Ability to use paint guns and spray equipment
+ Able to use overhead and swing cranes (training provided)
+ Able to use powered pedestrian hand trucks (training provided)

Package:

+ Permanent Contract
+ 36.5 working week; (07:00-15:00 Mon-Thurs and Fri 07:00-13:30) – Overtime available
