Central is currently recruiting for Female Support Workers in Kings Cross. The service is based within a female only complex needs hostel.
We are recruiting for candidates with previous experience of working with adults complex support needs including those related to homelessness, rough sleepers, mental health and substance misuse issues.
In these positions, the candidates are expected to have the ability to cope with customers who display challenging behaviour and an understanding of the risks associated with specific service user groups.
Candidates should be able to commit to a rota for a minimum period of 3 months, with a likelihood of extension based on performance.
The pay rates for is £12.55 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay). Interested candidates must be available for one shift either on Saturday or Sunday and will be a mixture of earlies (8 AM to 4 PM) and lates (3 PM to 11 PM).
Candidates must have experience of managing challenging behaviour and person-centred support practices.
Please note, we are unable to consider candidates who are currently in full-time permanent employment for these roles.

In order to register with Central Recruitment Services for temporary agency work, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Current valid right to work in the UK
* Minimum 12 months’ of paid experience in a front line social care role within the last 3 years* (unless recruitment criteria states otherwise)
* A fully enhanced DBS either registered on the DBS update service or issued within the last 12 months, or willingness to apply for one through Central (at a cost of £50)
* Employment or education history to cover the last 5 years which can be verified through the referencing process
