I am recruiting an experienced interim for one of my key Local Authority clients – the role is an interim Financial Strategy Manager, is for a 6 month period initially and offers hybrid working.
The Financial Strategy Manager is a key role within the finance team.
The main tasks are taking a lead role in the production of the Medium Term Financial Strategy and Forecast, as well as the production of the annual budget and council tax setting report. The role also includes analysing and interpreting key financial information, such as technical updates from Government and sector specialists.
You will work closely with Finance Business Partners to undertake the necessary quality assurance for internal and external reporting, whilst also forming important linkages with other colleagues across the business in this role. You will work closely with the Operational Director of Finance and Head of Corporate Finance on financial strategy, financial governance and financial management standards and controls.
