A leading, mid-tier law firm based in St Pauls, are seeking a Legal Secretary to join their team on a temporary basis.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will provide full secretarial and administrative support to several Fee Earners. Where necessary, you will be required to provide additional support to secretarial and fee earner staff within the department. Duties to include:
Ensuring that all typing, both digital and copy, are completed within the required time frames
Ensuring that client files are maintained and up to date at all times, including the opening and closing of client matters, and filing of relevant documentation
Obtaining billing guides and preparing draft bills
Creating and maintenance of new client records
Managing queries from clients and others to assist the fee earners
Managing fee earner's diaries on a daily basis, including organising and scheduling meetings, appointments, arranging lunches etc.
Organising file reviews for the department and working with Risk & Compliance and ensuring deadlines are met
Assisting fee earners in arranging and booking various training courses by completing training requests, booking individuals on courses, requesting payment from Accounts etc.
Archiving and retrieval of files as and when required.
Supporting the wider team by assisting in any overflow of outstanding secretarial workThis is a full time, office based role, working Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 5.30pm
Requirements
