Our client are a Legal 500 firm at the forefront of defendant law. They pride themselves on delivering innovative, high quality legal services to their clients across a range of services.
Their practice areas include all insurance business lines, span international work and a dedicated subrogation and recoveries offering. Claims handling and litigation services are also provided to their insurance and corporate clients.
The role will consist of pro-actively defending a mixed value caseload of fast track EL/PL claims, resolve disputes and manage litigation. Key aspects of the role include:
Handle and resolve complex technical cases or referrals and/or complaints within own authority limit.
Manage a supervised caseload of defending fast track EL/PL claims
Comply with SRA Accounts Rules and Rules of the Professional Conduct in accordance with company guidelines.
Gather and accurately analyse appropriate information in order to make the best business decision aligning with the total and/or partial resolution of Third Party's needs
Pro-actively deal with opponents in order to achieve overall key performance objectivesThe firm are offering a salary of c.£27,000pa (negotiable depending on experience) and a hybrid working pattern.

Experience of handling EL/PL claims
Qualifying Law Degree or equivalent
Educated to GCSE level C/4 or equivalent in 5 subjects, including English and Mathematics
Experience using an "enabling" case management system (desirable)
25 days holiday plus bank holidays for full time employees, pro-rated for part time employees
5% employee pension contribution, 3% employer
Annual pay review (August)
Death in service 4 x salary
