Retail Marketing Assistant
Location: Great London
BASIC PURPOSE OF JOB:
To assist in the creation and implementation of the brands trade marketing within their UK retail partner communications channels, websites and stores, in order to enhance our brands' presence, performance and overall perception.
*Co-ordinate retail marketing activity, supporting the Retail Marketing Manager and sales
team in managing UK brand presence within retailers' marketing channels across
digital, social media, catalogues and in-store displays. Prioritise commercial
requirements and timings, briefing third party agencies and internal teams, updating
activity and spend logs.
*Source, maintain and create UK brand assets and content for retail partners, delivering
the 'ideal' plan across retailer websites and communication channels, distributing asset
'packs,' collating information including deadlines, measurements, technical information,
writing copy, briefing agencies, arranging photography and artwork.
* Assist in delivering full in-store display solutions to showcase UK brands within
retailer stores including arranging adhoc graphic printing and the delivery of POS items,
briefing creative agencies designing new display areas, assisting in delivering larger
scale 'shop in shop' and 'pop-up' event build projects and communicating decisions to the
Marketing Co-Ordinator to assist with implementation.
* Organise UK retailer advertising activity in conjunction with UK sales and marketing
teams, retailers and 3rd party agencies, implementing agreed plans by collating assets,
keeping to brand guidelines and meeting deadlines. Maintain calendars, spend logs and
collate performance data.
* Respond to Ad-Hoc Marketing initiatives making recommendations and working with the
Marketing Co-ordinator on implementing activity in line with brand guidelines, within
budgetary and timing constraints, e.g. redesigning bespoke in-store graphics, creating
store briefing packs, making individual recommendations for retailer websites
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
*Ideally university degree/equivalent level educated
*Commercially aware with marketing experience through different communications
channels from digital to in-store
*Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook are a must
*Sound numerical and analytical skills needed – for raising POs, managing spend logs
and collating data results
*Customer and brand-focused with a good understanding of in-store and online retail
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive attitude
*Agile in seeking project progression, managing communications upwards and sideways!
*Very organised and results-driven, able to deliver to agreed timescales and
*Thorough yet creative approach, within a framework of cost effectiveness
*Effective consultative approach when dealing with Retailers, Stores, Agencies,
Customers and stakeholders
*Comfortable working in fast-moving environment, good under pressure!
