Salary: £ 13.67 per hour
Duration: 16 (Sixteen) months. To start once security clearance is obtained
Hours: Full Time (Monday – Friday, 9.00 am – 5.00 pm) Office based

KIMU provides the Home Office with efficient and effective information management services, ensuring that records and information are managed in a legally compliant way, and is responsible for appraising records for transfer to The National Archives in accordance with the 30-year rule.
To assist the Review Team administrative support is required to carry out a range of activities, including:
Gathering files for selection review, sorting and splitting these appropriately and ensuring that those destined for review are scanned to holding locations for appraisal.
Boxing up files for destruction and sending these to off-site storage ensuring the relevant systems are updated to reflect the transfer.
Carrying out a range of ad hoc file management tasks including sorting and rescanning of records to ensure paper file holdings are structured and searchable.
* Ability to assess and analyse information contained in files to facilitate registration
* Ability to work at pace and to carry out repetitive tasks with ease
* Ability to work well within a team
* Data entry – Basic/intermediate Excel skills
* Some experience with databases, full training will be given.
NB: The role requires manual handling & lifting of files in/out of boxes as well as on/off shelves. YOU MUST BE ABLE TO DO THIS AS ITS A KEY PART OF THE ROLE
Due to the sensitive nature of the work, we will need to apply on your behalf for security clearance and you will need to meet the following requirements:
* Resided in the UK for the last 3 years
* Have a *current* British Passport or settlement status
* NI Number
* 2 x proof of addresses (all in UK)
* 5 years full history with no gaps of more than 1 month
* 3 years solid reference with no gaps of more than 1 month
Due to the nature of the work at the Home Office, the role can be subject to change based on the business needs at the time. Therefore, candidates should be of a flexible nature that can deal with change.
If placed into a role you will undergo extensive training and the expectation is that you will stay in that role for the duration of the assignment, or a minimum of 4 months, before we can reassign you into a different business area. If you feel the role upon offer is not suitable you will need to discuss this prior to undergoing training.
