Social Personnel have a client in Haringey seeking a Permanent Team Manager within the Exploitation Team;
About the Role
Violence and Exploitation Team delivers intensive outreach intervention with young people at high risk of becoming involved in group related offending, county lines, serious youth violence including gangs and child criminal exploitation, child sexual exploitation; and/or who are missing, vulnerable and exploited.
You will be responsible for:
* Ensuring timely and effective decision making, case allocation and effective multi-agency working. • Empowering and inspiring a team of Family Support and Social workers to get the best outcomes for children.
* Accountability for the performance of your team, delivering regular reflective supervision and can motivate your team to achieve excellence.
About You
To be considered for this fantastic opportunity it is essential the successful candidate is educated to degree level and holds a qualification and is a Registered Social Worker.
The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of legislative framework and polices relating to young people’ services, including safeguarding and child protection, health and safety at work etc. You will have an excellent working knowledge of current policy and practice relating to vulnerable young people with specific reference to youth offending, gangs, Priority and Prolific Offenders, Contextual Safeguarding Issues and substance misuse.
Additionally, you will have a good knowledge of the risk factors for young people / young adults associated to negative outcomes together with an awareness of the challenges linked to youth violence and offending.
The successful candidate will be able to work alongside a range of statutory and community services to reduce risk
