Health and Safety Coordinator
£25,000-£30,000 dependent on experience
Hybrid Role – including travelling to sites (minimum 1 days per week – Z1/2 travel card)
Job description
We are looking for and Health and Safety Coordinator to join our growing team! Reporting to the HSEQ Lead, this role will assist with providing guidance and support to operational teams whilst ensuring NJC’s health and safety standards are maintained, updated and followed to protect staff, customers and members of the public from harm, whilst supporting with sustainability initiatives to meet our 2030 net zero strategies. With support and guidance of the HSEQ Lead, the HSEQ Co-ordinator will:
Responsibilities:
* Provide guidance and support to operations and the department
* Support , maintain and govern standards, procedures and policies
* Assist with COSHH assessments and risk assessments
* Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance
* Support investigations with incidents
* Publish safety briefings monthly
* Support our accreditations and standards i.e. ISO 14001, 45001, 27001 and 18001
* Support sustainability initiatives and commitment to environmental management**
* Review data reports such as near misses, incidents, audits etc
Skills/ Experience:
* The ability to engage with and influence a workforce to achieve improvement
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills
* Excellent communication skills, an individual who can build a good rapport with managers and customers whilst ensuring compliance
* Ability to work on your own initiative
