Our client is seeking a Buyer to join their supportive and collaborative team! They are a global organisation and are recognised experts within their sector. Their purpose is to help their customers achieve their goals by providing them with technology advice and the products they need.
They are seeking applications from interested candidates to join their sociable and energised team as a Buyer and work closely with the supply chain/purchasing team. The successful candidate will be a proactive and personable individual who is numerically minded, and data driven.
Dealing with stakeholders and suppliers, liaising regarding renewals and orders
Dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders
Negotiating on pricing and terms
Inputting new orders, information, adjustments, and renewals through the internal system
Developing supplier relationships for given product set, supported by regular meetings where necessary
Clearly and concisely interacting with all company departments; notably the sales department
Supporting the team with data entry and compiling reports, and ensuring all changes to purchase orders are recorded on the system
Processing invoices and orders and dealing with any queries via the inboxRequirements:
Experience working in a buying role
Ideally within IT/technology – this is not essential
Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages is preferable
Self-motivated, proactive, honest, reliable, and a positive working attitude.
An individual who is willing to go the extra miles to ensure requirements are met and practices are followed
