Our Client an award winning independent cocktail lounge and restaurant are looking for an experienced and qualified Head Chef to organise the kitchen's activities. You will be the first in command in the facilities and will create and inspect dishes before they arrive at the customers ensuring high quality and contentment. Location- Chiswick
Shifts – Shift pattern will be varied depending on levels of business, must be flexible.
Salary – £50,000
Start Date – ASAP
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
Approve and "polish" dishes before they reach the customer
Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
Arrange for repairs when necessary
Remedy any problems or defects
Be fully in charge of hiring, managing and training kitchen staff
Oversee the work of subordinates
Estimate staff's workload and compensations
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-oworkersREQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
An enthusiastic, dynamic and qualified Head Chef who is ready for a new challenge.
Able to demonstrate your experience of working with fresh ingredients and seasonal menus.
Able to demonstrate experience of working in a professional kitchen showing a clear understanding of Health and Safety.
Able to show a proven track record of managing the kitchen and controlling stock and GP.
Someone with a background of dealing with high volume.
Able to show technical skill and attention to detail
Able to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
