This is a new opportunity for a M&E Project Engineer to join a reputable UK Water Company in the South West. Long term work available on a daily rate contract basis. You will be working as a Project Engineer on MEICA projects for both water treatment and water recycling centres.
Role
Your will work with the M&E Project Managers to ensure projects deliver the engineering requirements and are fit for purpose, whilst providing a robust challenge to the status quo to deliver savings and innovations.
You will be the key technical point of contact for mechanical and electrical engineering and construction issues on your projects, the role is crucial for providing the link between design and delivery and will involve office work, potential to WFH and site-based working. Liaising with other internal delivery teams, commercial teams and operational teams will also be a key aspect of the role.
Key experience required
Previous experience working as a M&E Project Engineer.
Ideally you will have previous experience of the water industry.
You will have a strong technical understanding in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Ideally you will be educated to HND/Degree level or have the equivalent experience.Some of your day-to-day duties will include:
Providing engineering and constructability input through the design and construction phases of projects
Challenging established thinking to promote innovative sustainable solutions that can deliver savings to the business without compromise to the quality of engineering
Reviewing design information to ensure suitability and compliance with company design standards and procurement rules
Providing on-site engineering support to the site installation teams during construction
Leading and managing the sustainable procurement of mechanical and electrical equipment required for construction projects
Assisting with preparing the technical elements of contracts and sub-contracts
Liaising with suppliers to ensure quality and programme targets are met
Coordinating site visits and survey work to ensure designs can be completed correctly
Reviewing designers drawings to ensure all components and items of equipment can be constructed and any clashes identified
Compilation and checking of project operation and maintenance manualsLocation: Bath or Bristol.
Rate- £300-£350 a day or permanent
