Accountant Permanent

My client an internationally successful rapidly growing organisation is currently seeking an Accountant to undertake a varied role in their offices based near Brentford. This is an exciting time to join this business as you will play an integral part in their continued growth.

Responsibilities will include: Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into databases then filing hard copies

Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
Paying invoices and tracking bank account balances
Completing VAT returns
Verifying the accuracy of business accounts and alerting the Accountant of errors
Recording any inconsistencies to help the Accountants reconcile inaccuracies
Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
Helping with payroll
Managing employee expense claims
Chasing payments
Helping the General Manager with any administrative/ HR related tasks

Requirements:

Associate's Degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred)
Confident with numbers
At least 2 years of experience in Bookkeeping is required
Experience of using Xero would be advantageous
The successful person must have some sort of experience in bookkeeping reconciling
Some knowledge about GDPR
Multi-tasking and organisational skills to manage different financial duties, including the ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines
Interpersonal and customer service skills for dealing with customers, suppliers and other employees in the accounts department
