A Business Analyst is needed for a global investment bank and financial services firm.
The role is for a front to back process specialist to work within the Balance Sheet Control team within Group Operations.
The primary focus is to support the delivery of the Legal Entity restructuring programme and the associated development, implementation and management of new controls which are required to support the deployment of the new front to back (F2B) processing platform.
Challenges involved:
Support the delivery of the new control framework implementation.
Assist definition of the target operating model (TOM) for the new F2B control model frameworks within Operations, with a specific focus on the front to back expected cash control process (ECIC).
Deep dive, understand & reduce the additional reconciliation breaks in FOBO reconciliations so breaks can be explained through key controls on a daily basis.
Converse with F2B functional teams to receive hand-offs and resolve breaks causing ECIC impact in the General Ledger.
Liaise with the relevant IT teams to schedule any fixes to the systems to avoid the breaks occurring again. Track issues through to completion. Support UAT.
Produce daily status updates. Attend cross-functional stakeholder meetings & communicate updates regarding current status.
Understand and determine month end accounting adjustments that may be required.
Ensure all new procedures and processes that are defined throughout the process are understood, documented, and clearly communicated in an effective handover to a BAU process.
Deliver written status updates to key stakeholders in relation to the new control model
Essential skills:
Experience with business analysis in investment banks
Experience with general ledger
Balance sheet experience
Previously involved in process driven projects
