SANZA Teaching Agency is currently working with a two-form entry school to recruit a special needs teaching assistant to support a child in reception with Autism. The child displays challenging behaviour.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about working with children with special educational needs and wants to develop their skills in supporting children with Visual Impairment.
THE ROLE
As a special needs teaching assistant, you will need to:
Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson materials and ensure they are accessible for the student
Encourage social interaction and facilitate involvement in extracurricular activities and events
Work closely with the school's inclusion team to implement individualized strategies for the student's educational and personal development
Key skills and experience needed:
Experienced or aspiring teacher, SEN teaching assistant or learning support assistant
Understanding of Autism
Understanding of the early years
Strong behaviour management
Professional manor
Enthusiasm and friendly approach
